Usually Ubuntu is among the first distributions to pick up new development snapshots of Gnome, like the 2.29.x releases for in the 10.04 development cycle.
But there is still no sign of Gnome3 (2.90.x releases) in Ubuntu – even though the second development release is out already(2.90.2). It was already decided that Ubuntu 10.10 will stick with the traditional window management instead of gnome shell, but will it stick with Gnome2 generally as well?
